Noah's Music Winter Concert
This is Noah's 3rd year playing trumpet and he is in the advanced band at his middle school. They performed last night and I must say they were very impressive. At the school where he is at band is an elective. I am very proud that he has kept up with the music and glad his school has such a great program. Below are a couple of pics to show how much he has grown over the summer (or I am shrinking). Enjoy!

Aidan at the Oceanside Soccer Tournament
This week end came and went by too fast, however we enjoyed plenty of sunshine and had lots of fresh air. Aidan's soccer team had a tournament at Oceanside and they played a total of 5 games. They won 4 and tied 1 (score 0-0). This team has only been together for 2 weeks and they did a fantastic job. It was a joy to watch their little legs run and to see their determination glow in their hearts and spirit. Enjoy!

My 40th Celebration
Everyone said it would come and it did. I am now officially 40 years old. It was a day to remember, too. I woke to a display of balloons and to an array of packages on the table. I received such amazing gifts that were so thoughtful and sweet. To start Clever gave me a Starbucks gift card so I wouldn't get thirsty on our long walks together. Noah had made me a beautiful card with an address written inside. Aidan had a package with a picture of a beautiful building and said we must be there at 12:30pm. Steven gave me a package with a note that had an address and a time of 2:30pm. We began our journey in Balboa park and had a surprise guest meet us their, Justin. Noah's gift was to tantalite my senses. He's journey took me to the dessert garden and the botanical greenhouse. So sweet! Aidan took me to a very nice restaurant for lunch where we got to share a bowl of mussels. Our favorite! Next we ventured out to my surprise a hot air balloon adventure. It was fantastic once you get past the idea of floating up in the sky by a 100 foot balloon filled with hot air and standing in a wicker basket. The views were amazing of the coast and seeing the sunset amongst your family in an unobstructed view in the peaceful sky was breathtaking and an experience I will remember forever. I also want to thank all that gave me a birthday card (ecard) and/or birthday call. Below please find pics of my blessed day.
