Boys Playing Soccer for Scripps Ranch

The boys are in full force with their soccer season.  They have a total of 11 games to play this season.  Aidan's team is called the "orange crush" and we nicknamed Noah's team the "gray ghosts".  They are doing well on their teams and there's a parent on each team that takes these fantastic photos.  Thought I would share them with you.  This is what we do on our Saturday morning/afternoons.

Whale Watching in San Diego

We set out on a whale watching expedition on Aidan's Birthday week end with Grandma Sanders.  It was an 8 hour journey on the ocean and we didn't turn green with all the rocking.  We had a great adventure and saw many bird life, common dolphins, and a rare siting of the pacific white sided dolphin (they were as far south as they usually go).  Unfortunately we didn't spot any whales but it wasn't due to lack of trying.  It was a great activity and the day was just gorgeous.  Enjoy!

Aidan's 8th Birthday

I can't believe Aidan is 8 years old!!!  I made cupcakes and brought them in to share with his 3rd grade class.  Straight after school we opened presents with grandma Sanders and uncle Justin and as you can see he was very happy with all of his presents.  Thanks for thinking of him on his special day.  He then blew out his candles and dove into his ocean cake.  

We went to Legoland for his birthday treat the following week end.  The boys thought the lego triceratops was cool with all the shading and detail.  They were constantly talking about how they could build something like that with all the legos they have at home.  They're probably not too far off from the truth.  We had a great time and Uncle Justin was able to join in the fun, too.
