Everyone said it would come and it did. I am now officially 40 years old. It was a day to remember, too. I woke to a display of balloons and to an array of packages on the table. I received such amazing gifts that were so thoughtful and sweet. To start Clever gave me a Starbucks gift card so I wouldn't get thirsty on our long walks together. Noah had made me a beautiful card with an address written inside. Aidan had a package with a picture of a beautiful building and said we must be there at 12:30pm. Steven gave me a package with a note that had an address and a time of 2:30pm. We began our journey in Balboa park and had a surprise guest meet us their, Justin. Noah's gift was to tantalite my senses. He's journey took me to the dessert garden and the botanical greenhouse. So sweet! Aidan took me to a very nice restaurant for lunch where we got to share a bowl of mussels. Our favorite! Next we ventured out to my surprise a hot air balloon adventure. It was fantastic once you get past the idea of floating up in the sky by a 100 foot balloon filled with hot air and standing in a wicker basket. The views were amazing of the coast and seeing the sunset amongst your family in an unobstructed view in the peaceful sky was breathtaking and an experience I will remember forever. I also want to thank all that gave me a birthday card (ecard) and/or birthday call. Below please find pics of my blessed day.

More Soccer Pictures
I have some more soccer pictures of both Aidan and Noah. Their soccer season is wrapping up and at the end of each season the coaches pick a couple of players from each team to try-out for an All Star soccer team to represent Scripps Ranch. There's one team in each division. I'm proud to say both boys were chosen to try-out and Aidan had his last night. We just received word that he made it and we're very excited and proud of him. Luckily for us, All Star games consist of only 2 action packed tournament week ends in December.

New Orleans, La.
I can hardly believe it but my 40th birthday is just right around the corner. In celebration I met up with my best friend, Sybille in New Orleans this past week end. We had a great time catching up and seeing the city and all it had to offer. We ventured to all edges of the French Quarter and had seen all types of characters. We took a trolley to Magazine street where many of the boutique shops were located and walked our way around the Garden District. We saw the grand Mississippi in all its glory and lastly went on a swamp tour in the bayous of Honey Island. We had fantastic weather and many great dishes. I tried the alligator sausage gumbo, crab cakes, and a po boy shrimp sandwich. Unfortunately the line to order some beignets was too long but there's always next time. Hope you enjoy the pics!
